Hi! Thank you so much for being here, for taking interest in my work. My name is Taddy Mikelaites and I am a Richmond, VA-based watercolor painter & designer. I am 100% self-taught and have been painting for as long as I can remember. My late father was an artist as well, so I like to think his gifts were passed down to me. My work is inspired by my immense love for the colors, textures, and movement found in nature.

When I’m not in my home studio painting or designing home decor, you can find me cooking for family + friends, constantly rearranging furniture in our home, in the garden/at the park/museum with my son, Jones, or discovering new music and restaurants with my husband, Ridge.

I believe that art and pieces from our home are meant to be shared and cherished for generations, and that creativity is a special, beautiful gift that we are called to cultivate and foster within ourselves and others. I’m very passionate about my processes and creating pieces that are not only visually appealing, but also reflect MY passion for blending art with functionality, resulting in a harmonious and stylish environmenT.

 Each piece is made with love, strong attention to detail & quality, and designed to be long-lasting & passed down for generations.
